further ranting from the FOUK
See, while I am not in total agreement with my dear Bro. I do have to say how much Ep 1&2 have fallan from the greatness that was the original versions of Eps 4-6. and the fact that if I was going to be in town and not out of town for work I would still most likely be in line for Ep 3 does not mean anything either.
That said, I would now like to take up a slight rant on the proper etiquette of the midnight showing line. I have attended several midnight showings, this started with Ep 1 back in Anchorage and I went directly after work and hung out in line from 5:15pm to 12:01 when the showing went on. I did this gladly as my then roommates got the tickets for us by doing something similar three weeks prior. See that is turn about it is fair and it is just.
What bugs me are the friends that happen to tag along and benefit repeatedly from your sacrifice. I have a friend that I will call Zeus for the sake of annoyminity. He neither bought tickets for nor waited in line for any of the following: HP1, HP2, EP 2, Matrix Reloaded, LOTR 1,2,or 3 all of which he attend with me and other friends.
For each of those I waited in line pretty much from the time that I got off of work to be able to get good seats for me and my friends. Other friends would buy the tickets or show up halfway. which I can understand as each of us had different schedules. But Zeus would ineveitably show up right before we walked into the theatres or a couple of times after we had already gone in. And if you have ever tried to hold seats from fangeeks you know that you are taking your life in your own hands be it from a lightsaber, broom, or various LOTR swords. these people carry weapons!!
Any ways I think that I have lost what my original point was so I am going to say goodbye.
