It's a wonderful make believe life

So I decided to see if there were any angels out there that were looking to earn their wings and I wished that I was never born, to help them out you see, and lo and behold one appeared.

She, yes she, see being never born was already looking better then having been born as now I had a beautiful woman trying to bring my spirits up and make me see how great my life is/was.

*Que trumpet/flute music* *Fade to black* *Fade in*

Ext. Service High School Anchorage, Alaska -

Angel - Teaspoon, first I am going to show you how different your high school would have been if you had never been born.

Me - Sorry babe but you are barking up the wrong tree, I did home school through my high school years.

Angel - Oh. Are you sure?

Me - pretty sure, but I did have a friend that went here.

Angel - see that is why I brought you here.

Me - okay show me what you've got.

*My friend Graham is walking down the halls, a girl on each arm and the other students cheering as he passes by*

Angel - umm okay I don't know how... but I am sure that his life is worse off because you were not born.

Me - Sure chica whatever you say.

Angel - okay let's try somewhere else.

To be continued...

Rainy Days

So the rain has returned to La La land again.

And to make this even more enjoyable is the fact that I am riding a motorcycle again. You never fully get how far two places are until you ride a motorcycle in torrential rainpour from point A to point B. In my case from my apartment to my work. About 16 miles. Let me tell you I was SOAKED.

And the different types of rain that I experienced is what is truely incredible.

Unlike the lorrey driving raingod, I am pretty sure that the rainclouds hate me and were raining on me particularly harshly out of spite.

And you thought you had problems finishing things

*DISCLAIMER*
The following post should not to be taken as me making fun of, or light of the tragedy of what happened in Southern CA today.
*END OF DISCLAIMER*

At 6:00am today a southbound train coming through La La land crashed into a car that derailed it and it hit, head-on, a northbound train. The accident killed 10 people and injured another 200. That really is a tragedy and I am not making fun of that, nor should anyone else*

What I am going to bring up now is the person who is responsible for causing this disaster. An unidentified man, at this time, got his car around barriers and manage to park his car across the tracks in such a way as to get it stuck. This same man earlier slashed his own wrists and stabbed himself in the chest, then he drives onto railroad tracks. Before the train hits him though he decides "Hey maybe I don't want to die... Oh well I'll just hop out of the car and everything will be okay, and hey I don't really need to bother moving my car the train can go around it".

Police say the man is deranged.

Ya THINK!!.

He was found at the site of the crash walking around saying "I'm sorry" to all of the people there.

I do not condone suicide, I think that it is an easy way out for the person doing it, and it causes alot of problems for everyone else involved in his/her life. But if you are going to do it then for gawd's sake do it right the first time and don't take anyone else out with you. If slashing your wrists doesn't do it, and then stabbing yoursefl doesn't do it, then maybe you should take that as a sign and not keep trying to kill yourself.

*I just found out that a morning show on a radio station in New York was just busted for playing a song that trivilized and made fun of the victims of the tsunami. The same radio station's other morning show made fun of the tragic death of Aalyah back in 2001.

Saying goodbye to a legend

Over the weekend without any warning America lost another legend, and while Johnny Carson may not have been a war hero or a great politician he did soemthing that not too many other people manage to do. He entertained the country for over 30 yrs. He made us laugh through difficult times, Vietnam, the Gas shortage, Bush Sr. administration, the original Gulf war.

JC always managed to bring a smile to MY face when my parents let me stay up late enough to watch him, he left the air when I was 14, but still I remember his wonderful monologes.

At 79, Carson was not a young man by any means and while he had been battling illness for the last several years, I believe that it came as a bit of a shock when he died.

Legends are not supposed to die, I look back upon some of the legends that I grew up with and while they had all died, most long before I even was born, They were still alive in a way to me, I knew them for the great things that they did, and that is how I thought of them; alive in the moment of their greatness. That is how I want to remember the legends of today, that pass away, not because they died, but for the great things that they did.

So Heeeeeeerrrre's to Johnny.

Martha Stewart

Tim Allen had something very smart to say about Martha Stewart being sent to jail for "Impeding Justice". Not for insider trading, which is what the government orginally wanted, and didn't have enough edvidence to convict her. So they got her for lying to the investigators.

This is what he had to say:

"Boy, I feel safer now that she's behind bars. O.J. & Kobe are walking around; Osama Bin Laden too, but they take the one woman in America willing to cook, clean and work in the yard and haul her ass to jail." - Tim Allen

Yup that is some funny stuff.

The still ever increasing awards and award shows

As the new award show season is beginning, who am I trying to kid the season never ends just the year of the award changes, I have decided to comment upon them. I know that this has been done before but I am going to touch on the subject once again.

First let us go over the award shows that were around when I was a child back when there were only 52, one for each week, instead of the 364+ that seem to be now.

For simplicity sake I am going to list them in catagories.

Movies:

THE ACADEMY AWARDS - The creme-de-la-creme of movie awards it has been around the longest and even in the plathera of new awards still manages to maintain it's prestige.

THE GOLDEN GLOBES - This I think was the first cross award show, meaning it gives awards for Film and Television and in fact I think the Golden Globes' breakdown in catagories make more sense then the Oscars. Best Drama Film, Best Comedy/Musical film, instead of just Best Film.

Music:

THE GRAMMY'S - The Oscar of the music industry.

Television:

THE EMMY - The Oscar for television.

Theatre:

THE TONY - The Oscar for musicals and plays.

This was something you could deal with, it was almost something to get excited about for fans and celebrities.

Now we have the following along with the above:

THE MTV MOVIE AWARD - A large "golden" popcorn tub, this is an excuse for stars to come out and look like normal people, meaning instead of having to wear tuxes and beautiful expensive gowns that they have been given for free they can show up in, or out of as the case may be, really expensive everyday street clothes. and showing more bling then would be needed to feed a third world country for several months.

THE DAYTIME EMMYS - Because where else can you nominate someone 14 times in a row and not give award to them?

THE ESSENCE AWARD - an award show exclusively set to award excelent black men and women in a varity of endeavors, film, music, television, sports.

THE EBONY AWARD - the same as the Essence Award.

THE SOUL TRAIN AWARD - See above two.

MTV MUSIC VIDEO AWARD - An award for the best made Music Video, which for some reason goes to the artist of the video and not to the director or the person who came up with it, so basically they are awarding the song, so why not just call in the MTV MUSIC AWARD or MTV SONG AWARD.

THE SAG AWARD - This is an award that goes to actors from other actors in the Screen Actor Guild of America, In a way I kind of respect this as it is peers giving other peers an award.

THE VH1 FASHION AWARD - goes to fashion designers, fashion designers are people too.

THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE - This is an award show that leaves the voting entirely up to the general public, which is never a good idea. That is how Seinfeld won for best show on television a year after it left the air, and Mel Gibson won for best actor when he hadn't been in anything in over a year.

THE COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS - Because country music thought wait let's give ourselves an award that yankee's can't win.

THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS - no folks this is actually different from the CMAs.

THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS - Dick Clark's contribution to the awards world.

THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS - To give awards to the best of the billboard music world, this is different from the grammy's how?

THE RADIO MUSIC AWARDS - An award for the music that plays the most on the radio, because we really want to hear one more rendition of Snoop Dogg's "Drop it like it's Hot".

There are also various sports award shows that you can catch on ESPN 2 and FSNW and any of the other many sports channels. The ones that I am waiting for are the:

AWARD SHOW AWARDS - For the best award show of the year.

THE BEST TUESDAY - The award goes to the best Tuesday that happened all year.

THE BEST/WORST STREET IN AMERICA AWARD - the voters vote for which street is in the best repair and which street is in the worst repair.

C'mon people how many other ways can we pat the rich and famous on the back for being rich and famous?

Yeah!

This July at Laguna Seca raceway in Salinas, CA. MotoGP is coming back to America. For those of you who don't know, which in all honesty is probably most of you, MotoGP is the highest level of motocycle roadracing. This is HUGE in Europe and is just the best of the best.

It is coming back this year after being gone for, I think, 10 years or so. These bikes go close to 200 mph on the straightaways and are just insane in the amount of power they have.

It's going to be a blast.

great quotes regarding women

I am going to get so much flack for this.

" Women are cursed, and men are the proof." - Rosanne Barr

" Women, can't live with 'em... That's it" - Al Bundy

" Women, can't live with them... pass the beer nuts." - Norm (from CHEERS)

" Women! Ya can't live with 'em and ya can't get 'em to wear skimpy little Nazi outfits." - Emo Phillips

" My father told me, do not try to understand women, they are a breed apart and make no sense." - Daniel Day Lewis THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS

" Women with pasts interest men... they hope history will repeat itself." - Mae West

" Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition" - Timothy Leary

" Women should be obscene and not heard" - Groucho Marx

" Thirty-five is a very attractive age. London society is full of women of the very highest birth who have, of their own free choice, remained thirty-five for years." - Oscar Wilde

" Women prefer men who have something tender about them -- especially the legal kind." - Kay Ingram

" Why can't they invent something for us to marry instead of WOMEN?" - Fred Flinstone

"In those days spirits were brave, the stakes were high, men were real men, women were real women and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri." - Douglas Adams.

Okay so the last one wasn't necessarily about women but you've got to give me at least one DA quote.

Something for my brother

So I just read that the "Arrogant One's" popularity wanes.

His jersey the #8 has fallen out of the top 50 most popular jerseys that fans buy. Dropping from it's high point of the top 10 when he played along side the Shaq, and Jackson was coaching. In fact at one point it dropped all the way down to the 90th most popular jersey for fans to buy. According to the NBA Appearal department.

Not too good for the man that so many insiders thought was going to be the next golden boy for NBA marketing.

The hypocrasy of Hollywood

So ABC premiered the newest season of ALIAS, starring Jennifer Garner, last night.

It is a little late in the season but hey it is a good enough show that the fans should be willing to wait for it right?

JJ Abrams is the creator of Alias, he also did Felicity several years ago. Anyways he created a new show this season called LOST which has done very well in the ratings for ABC being their second highest rated show of the season behind only DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. When the Alphabet network was promoting the show you would, see in print or hear on the radio/TV, "from the creator of Alias, a brand new show.... blah blah blah" and they were really pushing that button "From the creator of Alias".

So I was driving into work yesterday and was listening to one of the morning radio shows, which I think are just getting worse and worse, and an advertisement came on for the premiere of Alias. The voice on the radio was like: " Season premiere of Alias tonight, from the creator of LOST...."

WHAT?!?! How can you promote a show that has been on the air for 3 years by saying that it was created by the creator of a Freshman show? How does that work? I mean I understand that LOST is doing REALLY well in the ratings, but Alias did pretty well on its own.

I just find that to be a little hypocritical.

for those too lazy to cut and paste

relief

So normally I would not post 2 blogs on the same day as I want to give everyone out there in blogland a chance to read my blog and post their wonderful comments.

But there is something that is near and dear to my heart and I need to let you know about it.

As you all know, unless you have been living under a gigantic rock for the last 2 weeks, a Tsunami of the largest magnitude slammed into Indonesia, Asia, and Africa after a 9.0 earthquake shook the foundation of the earths crust many many feet under the Pacific Ocean.

With several thousands still missing and over 140,000 proclaimed dead. It is one of the worst natural disasters ever.

This disaster has brought the celebrities out in droves to support charity organizations trying to help the survivors. Leonardo D. has appeared at fundraisers as well as donated a "sizable" amount of money, Sandra B. donated 1 million dollars, Michael Schumacher (the worlds highest paid sports star, formula 1 world champion for those who don't know who he is.) donated 10 million dollars to the reflief.

And then there is the man, the legend, the great one himself Bill Gates, Billy G, to those of us that know him personally. The richest man on the planet with over 40 Billion dollars in net worth. He decided to help out, and do you know how he did? by donating an amazing 3 million dollars. Yes folks you read that right 3MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!.... Wait 3 million dollars? A sports star donated more then 3 times that and Michael S doesn't have 1 Billion in the bank.

Though seeing as I have not been able to donate any money myself as of yet I should not talk so I will shut up now.

Do blondes really have more fun?

So I have been a blond for most of my life, as a child I was platinum until I was about 6 or 7 and then I became a "dirty" blond. Since I have been working for the company that I have been working for for the last 3 years I have discovered that my hair bleaches out ALOT in the sun, by the end of summer I will be back to a white/blond. In the winter I go back to my natural "dirty".

I keep hearing that blondes have more fun, so I have decided to perform my own experiment to detirmine if this is true. I have sacrificed my blond hair and gone raven black to once and for all decide if hair color actually has anything to do with this thing called "fun".

Seeing as I haven't been having a ton of fun as a blond as of late, I am hard pressed to believe that I could have even less as a non-blond but we shall see. Ah the excitement of an experiment.

I will be keeping you all up to date, as I know you will just be dying to know how this goes.

If you are having a hard time imagining me with black hair, well just try being me. I look about 3 shades paler then I did as a blond. And that is just one of the smaller differences.

Happy New Year?

So the new year is upon us. Many of us (well many of you anyway) probably went out and had maybe a little bit too much to drink and awoke the next morning with a bit of a headache or at least a fuzzy recolection of what it is that you did the last night of 2004. Not me.

Friends would ask "So Teaspoon (they would actually use my real name but for the sake of continuing the facade that someone out there doesn't know who I am, I am going to use Teaspoon), So Teaspoon what are your plans for New Years?" Which my response was: "Waking up next to a beautiful woman" not to much to ask for I don't think, right? So is that what happened? Nooooooo, nope nada nyet no.

I went to this party/gathering thing, which was cool because I got to see my Bro and his wife, and several friends that I hadn't seen in awhile, that was the cool part. But I have to admit that I went to the gathering in the hopes that I would see a particular girl, she did not show up.

So alas how did I start out the year, recovering from a hangover? No. Waking up in a hotel room in Vegas after a long night of gambling and drinking? No. Awoke next to a beautiful woman? Hell.... no.

I woke up by myself, in my own apt. got up and did nothing. What a way to start 2005.

So to all of you, my fellow blogger friends and to all of my family and friends I wish you all a new year and a prosperous 2005.

I think that I will go out and drink heavily tonight.
